Stacked

Can’t decide which bracelet to wear, wear them all. With the stacking bracelet trend, I truely feel that arm candy has been transformed. Historically I haven’t been a huge bracelet or ring fan (the only ring I do sport is a simple Cartier nail wedding ring), but I cannot seem to get enough. Bracelets date back as far back as 7,000 years ago. It has been and still is an accessory that has long held a symbolic and decorative place in human culture. Bracelets may be of sentimental value or simply add a bit of colour and style to an outfit on a grey day. With the stacking trend, bracelets have once again been revived. To all the ladies who haven’t yet tried this out, you need it. It adds instant glam to any outfit.

I have stacked various cream, gold and black bracelets on one hand for today’s look. I absolutely love black and lace and in my opinion stacked bracelets add the perfect amount of quirk to my getup. Hopefully this gives you some stacked bracelets inspiration.

Shoulder Bling

Shoulder embellished dresses are everywhere and I am honestly loving it! Lace inserts, teamed with delicate beading, nothing could make me happier. I purchased my dress with embellished shoulders, however it’s such a simple DIY project and provides an instant update to old dresses, t-shirts and blouses and a glam alternative to wearing a necklace. Check out your local fabric store for a range of beaded motives and just sew them on. Doesn’t get easier. I suggest that you first pin the motive onto your clothing before sewing it on, just to ensure you get the placement right. Happy embellishing everyone 🙂

Lady Lace

So I think it’s essential for me to set the tone for my outfit today. LACE is a must-have. It’s a non-negotiable in any sophisticated woman’s wardrobe (well in my opinion anyways). And no, it is not pretentious, granny induced glamour, its sheer fabulosity (no pun intended).

The current trend factor in lace is off the chart! Feminine, elegant and Audrey Hepburn-ish chic. It doesn’t get trendier than that. And that’s probably why lace is everywhere this Spring! I find that lace pieces ooze femininity and add romantic chicness to any look. I know many females aren’t lace fans. I mean, this fabric is perceived as being extremely girly (and we all know girly girl isn’t everyone’s cup of tea either) and old fashioned, but it honestly is extremely versatile. It can be worn to the office in the form of a knee-length dress (my office look today), to Spring picnics in lace tops or even shorts. And why not dress it up with statement jewellery or dress it down with a pair of Nikes (yes off course I am referring to a pair of Nike Air Max). Given that we live in the age of freedom to express ourselves, we have the opportunity to wear lace any way we please and make the craziest combinations work. And so off course, I am once again obsessed.
